The group is best described as “German Reading and Conversation Group”, because we read and ad hoc translate chapters from books and journal articles of interest up to 70% of the time. The remainder is used for relatively simple conversation in German. The emphasis is on doing activities together that involve the German language and are also fun.

All people attending have a good background in German, they can read and pronounce well, but have not used the language for some time. We work together to improve our confidence in speaking German, to enjoy discussing grammatical features and to expand our vocabulary.
