Group I

Group II

Two groups are available to cater for differing fitness levels.

Group I

Details of walks are posted on notice boards at 2 Centres.

The Group meets twice a year to plan the programme.

Walking Group

Walks are usually once a month with a mileage of up to about five miles. Members of the Group suggest walks they can lead with details of hills, stiles and terrain. The leader of the walk says which day is convenient. As many walks as possible use public transport to the meeting place, otherwise lifts can be given by some car drivers. Walks are usually circular to take account of cars. There are lists of walks on the notice boards with copies in the envelope on the board.

Group II

These walks are between 5 and 6 miles in length and whatever the weather the leader will be at the start.  Walks are seldom based around public transport to enable us to get out into more out of the way places but there is always a lift available from those with cars.  We usually stop for lunch at the end of the walk to increase the sociability of the occasion.
